There is some great archaeology in York and, as part of Archaeology Live! in October 2013, there are opportunities available to find out more about the Hungate site in the city. They are continuing the investigation into the remains of the medieval church of St. John the Baptist (also known as St. John-in-the-marsh) including the graveyard to the north. This includes weekend, one week and two week field training courses for trainees (paid for by the trainee). Follow the link to their website for further information.
