Internet booking is now open for the Bamburgh Research Project Field School in 2014. Bamburgh was the fortress palace of the Anglo-Saxon kings of Northumbria, and has been in continual use for over 3000 years. Excavations at the site have been going on for some years now and have produced some wonderful archaeology. The project welcomes volunteers to dig as part of the field school of all ages and levels of experience. More information can be found on their website.
